NutriSmart – Privacy Policy

NutriSmart (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how data is processed when you use the NutriSmart mobile application.

1. Overview

NutriSmart is designed to work without user accounts or personal profiles.

We do not directly collect or store personally identifiable information.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

NutriSmart does not collect:

Names or email addresses
Account credentials
Payment card details
Location data
Medical records or diagnoses

3. On-Device AI Processing (Free Version)

In the free version of NutriSmart:

AI features use Apple Foundation Models
Processing occurs entirely on the user’s device
User input is not transmitted off-device for AI processing
NutriSmart does not receive or store AI prompts

4. Third-Party AI Processing (Optional Features)

Some features may rely on Google Gemini via Firebase.

When used:

User input is transmitted to Google for processing
NutriSmart does not store this input
NutriSmart does not control how Google stores or retains this data

Processing is governed by Google’s privacy and AI service policies.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

NutriSmart offers optional subscriptions.

Payments are processed by Apple
Subscription status is managed using RevenueCat
RevenueCat may process anonymous purchase and entitlement data
NutriSmart does not receive payment card information

RevenueCat acts as a data processor for subscription-related events.

6. Analytics (Anonymous Usage Data)

NutriSmart uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage events, such as:

Added a meal
Added a meal to favorites
Updated fitness goal
Updated calorie goal

These events:

Contain no free-text input
Contain no nutrition values
Are not linked to personal identities

Processing is based on:

Article 6(1)(b) – performance of a contract
(AI processing and subscription entitlement checks)
Article 6(1)(f) – legitimate interest
(anonymous analytics and app improvement)

8. Data Retention

NutriSmart does not retain AI prompts
On-device AI data remains on the device
Analytics and subscription metadata retention is governed by Google and RevenueCat policies

9. International Data Transfers

Third-party providers may process data outside the EU.

These providers rely on:

Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
Other GDPR-approved safeguards

You have the right to:

Request information about data processing
Object to processing based on legitimate interest
Request deletion where applicable

Because NutriSmart does not store personal data, we may be unable to identify individual users.

11. Children’s Privacy

NutriSmart is not intended for children under 16.
